Obituary for Paul Dionne

Print
Paul Elphege Dionne, 67, a longtime resident of Cottage Ave in Nashua, died peacefully at Pheasant Wood Center in Peterborough on November 26, 2017.
He was born in Nashua on April 13, 1950, a son of the late Jean Baptist and Cecile (Lesieur) Dionne.
Before moving to Peterborough, Paul had worked for Harbor Homes in Nashua and for Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashua for many years.
Paul is remembered for his infectious smile and unforgettable nature. He was generous with his time and loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was fun and free spirited and would always look for the brighter side of life. “The way I look at things there is always someone worse off than me” something Uncle Paul would always say. Paul lived a happy and very humbled life, and helped family and everyone he could in any way he could. He enjoyed making model cars and worked on cars with his brother. Paul liked to draw and was known for riding his bicycle everywhere, even in the winter. His family remembers his favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas. Paul will be greatly missed by everyone who knew his and will never be forgotten. It’s hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember.” We love you, “Uncle Gonzo.”
Mr. Dionne was a Vietnam War Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Dionne received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased his sister-in-law, Deborah Dionne and by a nephew, Robert Paul Dionne.
He is survived by his siblings, Ray Dionne of Hudson, Jeannette Goselin of FL, Marie Anctil and her husband Jerry of FL, and Jacqueline Dionne and her friend Eric of Whitefield, NH; several nieces and nephews including those who helped care for him, Dawn and Ben Butler, Rebecca and Tony Buckmire and Donna Dionne; and his grandnephew, Corey Butler.
