Obituary for Arlena E. Wilmot (Philbrook)

Arlena E. Wilmot, 82, of Nashua, New Hampshire died on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Hanover Hill Healthcare in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Arlena was born in Millinocket, Maine on November 23, 1936, the eldest of eight children of Willard and Marjorie Philbrook.
She graduated from Stearns High School in Millinocket with high honors. She played the clarinet in the school band. This included trips to Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Arlena moved to Nashua in 1957. She worked at the Nashua Paper Box Company. She married Eugene Wilmot on March 8, 1958 at the First Baptist Church.
Arlena took further courses at the Nashua Business College. She worked at various businesses in the Nashua area, working at the Nashua Credit Bureau, several finance companies, Edgcomb Metals as an inventory control clerk, retiring after twenty-one years.
Her enjoyment in life was working with her hands. She excelled at knitting, crocheting, quilt making, and other craft skills. She enjoyed reading. She took great pleasure in seeing her ten grandchildren maturing. She visited with them often.
Survivors include her four children, her son, Eugene Wilmot and his wife Lisa of Rochester Hills, MI, her daughter, Karen Clark and her husband Kenneth of Manchester, NH, her son, James Wilmot and his wife Betsey of Jessup, MD, and her son, Robert Wilmot and his wife Stacey of Greenville, SC; her siblings, her sister, Evelyn Delody of Medway, ME, her sister, Marian Bourassa and her husband Ernie of Dracut, MA, her sister, Doris Lowell and husband Gene of North Berwick, ME, her sister, Kathleen Stewart of Millinocket, ME; her brother, John Philbrook and his wife Claudette of Millinocket, ME, and her sister-in-law, Carol Philbrook of Fryeburg, ME; her ten grandchildren, Nicole Clark, Cady Clark, Ethan Wilmot, Emily Wilmot, Ruth Wilmot, Aaron Wilmot, Matthew Wilmot, Breanna Wilmot, Mykala Wilmot and Connor Wilmot.
SERVICES: Visiting Hours will be held at Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street, Nashua on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 2 – 4 pm with a Service to follow at 4 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the: Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
