Obituary for Benjamin "Benji" Ramos DeJesus

Benjamin “Benji” Ramos DeJesus, age 67, of Nashua, passed away at home on April 16, 2022, following a battle with cancer. For 22 years, he was the beloved husband of Matilde (Cabrera) Ramos.

Benji was born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico on March 31, 1955, a son of the late Jose Ramos and Catalina DeJesus.

Growing up he did farm work. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a machine operator and supervisor in the metal fabrication industry for many years.

Benji enjoyed cooking his favorite Puerto Rican dishes. He always had love for animals. He would care for animals and his pets with love as if they were his kids. He loved listening and singing to his favorite music. He loved nature. During the summer when his children were little, he enjoyed taking them and his wife to lakes and farms. He enjoyed cooking on the grill every summer as well. He also enjoyed having his own garden of vegetables. Most importantly, Benji loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids.

Besides his wife Matilde, he is survived by two sons, Benjamin “Junior” Ramos and Elvys Ramos; a daughter, Jennifer M. Rodriguez; four grandchildren, Francisco Javier Cedillo, Mayelis Giavanna Marquez, Jasmine Temari Collado and Karmella Elvira Ramos; Brothers & Sisters: Maria Mercedes DeJesus, Jose Luis “Cheito” Ramos, Domingo Ramos, Petra Gagnon, Wanda Ramos, Victor Ramos, Juan Enrique Ramos and Ana Ramos.

He was predeceased by brothers and sister, Sixto Luis DeJesus, Bienvenido Ramos, and Aida Iris Capiello

SERVICES: Relatives & friends are invited to his visitation at DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH 03064 on Thursday April 21, 2022, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 22, 2022, at 9:30 AM at Davis Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 West Hollis St., Nashua, NH 03062.
