Ronald George Matranga, 67, of Stoughton, MA passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Boston Medical Center, after battling a long illness. He passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side.
He was born on July 1, 1952 in Boston, MA and grew up in South Boston. Ronald was the son of the late George Matranga and the late, Bertha (Horton) Kelly.
Ronald was a Welder at Southeast Railing & Iron Works in Canton, MA for many years.
Ronald served in the United States Navy, enlisting when he was 17 years old.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, riding his scooter and motorcycles. Ronald loved listening to music and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a quiet man, who always kept to himself, but always had a smile on his face and knew how to make others laugh.
He was predeceased by his brother Richard Kelly and grandson Paul Connolly.
Ronald is survived by his long time girlfriend of 30 years, Carol Agresta, of Stoughton, MA; his daughter, Melissa Matranga, of Reading, MA; his son, Ronald G. Matranga, Jr., of Bedford, MA; his daughter, Catherine Fennelly and her husband Jason Fennelly, of Quincy, MA; his step-daughter, Gina Carey, of Newport, NC; his sister, Lori Ann Forrence and her husband James Forrence, Sr.; his sister, Janeen Hastie and her husband Daniel Hastie; his aunt, Patricia Lamonica; the mother of his children and good friend, Antoinette (Meuse) Marshall; and many loving grandchildren, nephews and extended family. He was a loving, father, grandfather, brother and friend to everyone.
SERVICES: A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery, 101 Kinsley Street, Nashua, New Hampshire. Friends and family are invited to attend.
