I will miss Brad dearly. Having just spent some time with him in Darmstadt, Germany on business, I can say that (as susual) Brad supplied the laughs both with his jokes and hilarious gestures. I cannot remember one conversation with Brad where we weren’t laughing at one thing or another. The frustrations of Oracle. The new frustrations of SAP. We were laughing the other day in Darmstadt when he was trying to explain something about how Oracle was going to talk to SAP. He pulled his hand down over his face and said quietly, “I give up. Time for a break.” Other times, I would call Brad and he would pick up the phone and say, “What, now.” I will never forget our lunch outings—he always liked to go to El Torito when he came to Temecula, CA. Through it all, Brad was the quintessential teacher. He was the epitome of “you can’t keep what you have unless you give it away.” Always willing to help, to give and give again until you got it. I encourage everyone to think about things that you admire in Brad and start living them in your own lives. This will help ease us all during this time of tremendous loss. Let us celebrate Brad’s life by drawing power from his tremendous spirit of generosity and humor. Long live Brad’s Legacy!
