Obituary for Brenton Turner White

Brenton T. White, 80, of Nashua passed away on July 8th at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, MA with his wife Ann White by his side. They were married for 54 years. Born in 1939 in New Bedford, MA, a son of the late Charles and Nathalie (Turner) White of Falmouth, MA he was a resident of Nashua for the past 52 years. He attended Falmouth High School and graduated in 1957. After graduating from Falmouth High School, he attended East Coast Aerotech and obtained his private pilot license. Brent enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in Brunswick, ME where he attended the US Naval Air Traffic Controller School from 1961 to 1966. He joined the Federal Aviation Administration in 1967 and was employed at the Air Route Control Center in Nashua until 1981. He then joined the US Postal Service in Nashua in 1989 as a scheduling supervisor and letter carrier and retired in 2005.
Brent loved being by the ocean, especially as a lifeguard at many of the Falmouth, MA beaches. His interests included tennis, golf, swimming, running, and a lifelong enthusiasm for aviation. Brent and Ann traveled extensively throughout the United States and their favorite place to go was Maui, HI which they visited many times.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Lyons White; and his 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher White and Susan Loughlin of Burke, VA and Brian White and Julie Sears of Plymouth, MA. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Abigail, Meredith, and Dylan.
SERVICES: The services will be held at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St, Nashua, NH on Tuesday, July 21st. Calling hours will be 5-7 pm. Burial services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA on Thursday July 23rd at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Falmouth Road Race, Inc., with “in memory of Brenton White” noted in the memo line and mailed to Falmouth Road Race, Inc.; PO Box 732; Falmouth, MA 02541.
