Obituary for Deborah Lois Wing (Sanford)
Deborah L. Wing, 70, of Sidney, ME, passed away peacefully with her family present, at the Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Augusta, ME on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Walton, Nova Scotia on October 11, 1950 and was the daughter of the late Lillian Stitham and Gordon Sanford. In addition to her loving husband, Bruce E. Wing, Deborah is survived by her son Martin A. Michaud and his wife Michelle of Nashua NH; son Craig A. Michaud and his wife Tara of Nashua, NH; 5 sisters, Margaret Clark, Velma Rae Forsyth, Jean Boothby, Joan Abbott and Donna McGreevy; 4 step-children, Ron, Rob & Ryan Wing & Brittnee Bogannan; 14 grandchildren, Paige, Jacob and Mary Michaud, Meghan, Andrew, Ashlynn, Kendra, Taryn, Everlyn & Addileigh Wing, Marissa Caruth, & Elisha, Colby & Adriana Alejandro. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Deborah attended local schools and graduated from Milford High School. She was a devoted mother and homemaker, worked as a child supervisor in the Nashua Public School System and was a matron for the Nashua Police Department. She loved fishing, camping, going to yard sales, and collecting antiques. Deborah also had a great sense of humor, and was known on occasion to play practical jokes. She also loved animals, particularly cats. Her greatest love, though, was for her family and friends. This love and caring defined her, and is what anyone who knew her will always remember about her.
Services: A private celebration of life will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St. Nashua, NH. Visiting hours will be held on Friday October 30, 2020 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm at the Davis Funeral Home. This location was chosen because it is on the same street, and close to where Deborah raised and cared for her family. Friends and family are invited to attend. Due to current COVID-19 regulations all guests will be required to wear facemask and practice social distancing.
