Obituary for Diane Sheila Smith (Leduc)
Diane Shelia (LeDuc) Smith, 66, a longtime resident of Nashua NH, passed away suddenly at Portsmouth Regional Hospital on February 14, 2022, after battling a short illness.
Diane was the daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Gerard and Lorraine (Jutras) LeDuc. Born on December 16, 1955. She graduated from Lowell Catholic Academy. After graduation Diane could be found working as a bank teller and later at the Lowell YMCA, where she subsequently met her husband of 44 years, David D. Smith.
Besides her beloved parents, she is predeceased by 2 brothers.
She is survived by her husband David; her brother Michael, and 2 sisters Lucille and Susan; her son James, (and wife Nicole), son Christopher, and daughter Melinda (and husband Kevin). As well as 8 grandchildren; and many loving Aunts, Uncles, Neices, and Nephews.
Diane spent the majority of her career working as a parts assembler at BAE Systems in Nashua NH. Beyond her career at BAE, the thing she loved and cherished the most was being a Memere, a title she carried with great pride. Her life revolved around the love she had for her grandchildren.
Diane will be missed by all that knew her and met her.
We will hold a Celebration of Life at Gateways Baptist Church, 115 Main St, Nashua NH 03060, on March 5th 2022, at 2 pm, with food and drinks to follow.
