Obituary for Donna E Osborne (Carlson)

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Donna Osborne, of Nashua, on February 2, 2022, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, where she served as a hospice nurse for many years.

Donna, born February 25, 1946, to the late June (Chesley) and Richard Carlson in Lynn MA., fought a long, valiant, but private battle with Alzheimer's and was with her husband Wayne, her son Leo, and her loving siblings and closest friends the day she passed. Donna graduated from Lynn Classical High school in 1963 and pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She received her training and license from St. Joseph's Hospital, Nashua in 1981 and began her long and prosperous career spanning over three decades serving those in need, including many years at the Courville Nursing Home. Her fellow nurses and doctors remember her as one of the most dedicated, caring, and skilled colleagues they worked beside. Donna will be remembered for her wonderful smile, fun loving personality and being the heartbeat of her large family.

Donna is survived by her husband, Wayne Osborne, son Leo Palmer, and her six siblings: Richard Carlson and Tina, Deborah Siegel and Larry, Susan Carlson and Steve, David Carlson and Kelley, Barbara Hayes and John, and Nancy Wood, in addition to over 40 nieces and nephews, as well as her loving Uncle Raymond Chesley. Auntie Donnie was deeply loved by all. Donna will always be remembered for her fun-loving spirit and optimism. She was always concerned caring for others in any way she could. Donna's love for family permeated her entire family. Her home was the centerpiece of the family and served as the gathering place for decades of holidays, events and family traditions. Donna had a special way of making every gathering unique and memorable and worthy of storytelling through the years. There was always an abundance of love and laughter whenever Donna gathered the family.

SERVICES: A Celebration Service will be held in her honor at the First Church, 1 Concord St., Nashua, NH 03064 on Saturday, February 26th at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. A family member said upon her passing that she now soars with the Angels who have always recognized her as one of their own. Donna now has her wings.
