Edward Charles Ekstrom, 79, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at home in Merrimack. He was born on December 3, 1942, in Nashua, the son of Roland and Louise (Ruf) Ekstrom. He was a loving husband to Carol (Palau) Ekstrom, whom he married in Nashua on July 17, 1965.
Ed graduated from Nashua HS and Wentworth Institute in Boston with a degree in Mechanical Design. Career stops included Warren E. Collins (think iron lung), Sanders Microwave, Hitchiner Mfg, and Teradyne/Amphenol. A 2011 retirement was his last fulltime endeavor.
Ed loved everything that had a motor (preferably with wheels), winters spent in Myrtle Beach, “an elevator ride 6 floors to the beach,” and summers at Silver Knights’ collegiate baseball games at Holman Stadium.
Ed was predeceased by his sister, E. Carol Ekstrom.
He is survived by his wife and cousins, Martha and Peter Kashulines, and many, many friends.
The world has truly lost a good guy!
