Obituary for Elizabeth Taylor Reed

Elizabeth T. Reed, 81, of Nashua died peacefully in her home on August 6, 2020.
Liz was born in 1939 in La Jolla, California, the only child of Frank and Gladys Taylor. She lived in Honolulu, Denver, and El Paso where she met her husband, Richard A Reed. They lived in Chicago briefly and came to New Hampshire in 1961. Nashua was her home for nearly 60 years.
Liz worked as the secretary for Bishop Guertin during the 1980s and as a salesperson for Talbots during the 1990s. She was a member of multiple volunteer organizations, most recently working with the Southern NH Medical Center Volunteer Service where she accumulated more than 2500 hours. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bridge, golf, travel, and shopping. She was especially fond of cats, fast cars, and jazzy shoes. Throughout her life, she loved meeting new people and made many lasting friendships.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Richard A. Reed. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Neda Reed of Plymouth, MA; her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Reed and Evan Chicklis of Amherst, NH; and her grandchildren Hannah Boyd, and Byron, Camille, Ian, and Miranda Chicklis.

Liz was a lady of style, grace, and wit; she will be greatly missed by her family and friends

SERVICES: A private memorial service will be held on the morning of Thursday, August 13, at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua. Her graveside committal will be at noon on August 13 at Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst St., Nashua. A public memorial will be announced for a later date. In the interim, her family suggests that in her honor, friends wear colorful shoes on August 13. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Dr., Merrimack, NH 03054 or other local charity of your choice.
