Obituary for Eloide Joyce "Joyce" Hannon (Beroney)

Eloide “Joyce” Hannon passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Bedford, New Hampshire, with her son, Michael, by her side.

She was born May 5, 1944, in West Milan, New Hampshire, daughter of the late Clerence W. Beroney Sr. and Ila Gwendellen (Jarvis) Beroney. She was the widow of Edward Hannon, who died February 11, 2021. Joyce and Ed were married for 56 years upon Ed’s passing.

Joyce is survived by her son Michael R. Hannon of Weare; four grandchildren; Ryan Hannon, Angelia Phillips, Casey Phillips, and Bradley Hannon. She is predeceased by her daughter, Tina M. Phillips, who passed away July 6, 2007.

Joyce was a one-of-a-kind wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to all who had the chance to know her. Her positive outlook, no matter how tough the situation, was an inspiration to all those around her. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially when everyone was gathered at her home hunting Easter eggs in the back yard or sharing a meal that she worked so hard to prepare. Anyone invited over knew they would never leave hungry, nor empty handed.

She enjoyed spending her free time knitting and crocheting for those who meant so much to her, camping with her husband in their RV, playing card games with friends, or just relaxing and watching her favorite sport, NASCAR. Whether it be “Joyce, Mom or Grammy”, however you came to know her, was to know an amazing soul that will be missed by many.
