Obituary for Emily Gail Willis
Emily Willis, 39, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, surrounded by her family, after living a full life of creating joy, love and light wherever she went.
Emily was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 9, 1983, to Douglas and Barbara Willis. Two years later she was joined by her best friend and sister, Libby. Emily graduated from Nashua High School in 2002. Her days since then were spent with many friends and supporters at Opportunity Networks.
Emily particularly loved to watch sports, rooting for the Boston Red Sox and Big Papi. She spent many vacations at Disney World and camping with her family. She was an active member of Pilgrim Congregational Church throughout her life.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Willis, sister Libby and brother-in-law Michael Persons, and her niece Lucy. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles Elizabeth Morgan, Alice and Bill LeBlanc and Bill and Samara Perry. She is also survived by many cousins.
Emily is also survived by her “other” family with whom she loved and resided with during the last six years, Innocent and Vestine Musonera and their children; Yancey, Dempsey, Reese and Elsie and her special friends and supporters, Anne and Tom O’Connor.
Emily was predeceased by her father, Douglas Willis; her Mimi, Jean Perry; her Gram, Gladys Willis, and her Aunts Patricia Lowe, Loretta Cummings, Ruth Toscano, and Uncle William Willis.
SERVICES: A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 2, 2022, at 11 am at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 4 Watson St, Nashua, NH 03064. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Emily’s loving name can be made to Gateway Community Services, 144 Canal St, Nashua, NH 03064 or to UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian, 153 Paige Hill Rd, Goffstown, NH 03045.
