Obituary for Frederick Hutchins

Frederick Hutchins Jr., 92, of Nashua, passed away on January 29, 2021. He was born on January 27, 1929 to the late Frederick Hutchins and Elizabeth C. Johnson. He grew up in Roxbury, MA and attended Boston public schools.

Fred spent many memorable summers as a camper at Agassiz Village, ME and then as a counselor.

After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marines, and was especially proud to be a China Marine.

In his early years in Indiana he worked for the power plant. After moving to Arlington, MA he was employed by Sears Robuck Co. until his retirement.

Fred was predeceased by his wife, Eva M. Elliott; son, Edward J. Hutchins, and brother, George Hutchins.

He is survived by his children, Rosemary Quinlan and her husband Robert of Merrimack, Michael Hutchins and his wife Kathy of Manchester, and James Hutchins and his wife Ling of Henniker; his sister, Winifred Gallenski of Saugus, MA; his grandchildren, Joyce, David, Michael, Shawna, Erin, Rob, Amy, Wyatt, Kelly, Melissa, Elliott; as well as 17 great grandchildren.
