Obituary for Gary Charles Kierstead
Gary Charles Kierstead, 75 of Litchfield, NH died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.
Born August 21, 1947 in Lowell, MA he was the widow of Linda (Brown) Kierstead, who died on November 15, 2020 and with whom he married on October 19, 1968 in Nashua, NH. Besides his wife Linda, he was also predeceased by one sister, Charlene A. Smith and three grandchildren, Lindsey Kierstead, Joshua Guilmette and Allison Guilmette.
Gary enjoyed spending time on Lake Winnipesaukee where he loved boating and entertaining family and friends at his lake house with his specially crafted mudslides. He also enjoyed a good round of golf and vacationing on Marco Island, Florida. Over the years he had numerous pets which he loved unconditionally.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Keith Kierstead and his wife Tara, of Milford and Kevin Kierstead and his wife Kelly, of Hudson. One sister, Karen Burnell and her husband Dave of Hudson. Six grandchildren, Hannah Kierstead, Kaylynn Kierstead, Denijean Kierstead, Kimberly Kierstead, Jacob Mackinnon and Emily Veilleux, as well as 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held Monday November 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM at St. Patrick Cemetery, Route 102, Lowell Rd., Hudson, NH. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may meet directly at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary’s loving memory to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Rd., Nashua, NH 03064.
