Gilbert Foltz, of Nashua NH, passed away peacefully on Friday October 07, 2022, while surrounded by his loving son Tim and his daughter-in law Maureen. Gilbert was born in Coolspring, PA on July 01, 1924, to the late Hazel (Shanaberger) and Gilbert (Sr.) Foltz.
Gil was a World War II US Navy veteran who served in both the Pacific and Atlantic theatres of combat. Gil was a Patrol Craft radioman on the decorated USN PC451. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Gil’s joy was spending time at home with his wife Theresa and sharing his life with his granddaughters Beth and Kristyn. He enjoyed the special meals “Grammy” made, and shared his love of American history, politics, and his personalized words of wisdom.
Gil was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He and his wife Theresa (Mercier) Foltz celebrated 65 Years of marriage before her death in 2017. He is survived by his son Tim and wife Maureen (Rush), granddaughter Beth (Foltz) Smith and her husband Dave and great-granddaughters Lily, Hannah and Mackenzie and granddaughter Kristyn (Foltz) Sheehan and her husband Michael, and great-granddaughters Katelyn and Emma and great-grandson Tom.
Gil was predeceased by his siblings Bill, Norma and Bobby.
SERVICES: A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 11:15 AM at Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua NH. A procession will leave from Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua NH, 15 minutes prior to the celebration.
