Obituary for Graham Forbes Smith

Graham Forbes Smith, 65, of Nashua, New Hampshire died Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 in Merrimack, NH, surrounded by his family. Graham was born on May 2, 1958 in East Kilbride, Scotland to James and Margaret (Ingles) Smith. He was the husband of Danette (Barthelemy) Smith. They were married November 7, 1987 at the First Baptist Church in Salem, NH.

Graham graduated from Masconomet High School in Boxford, Massachusetts and went on to become an Electro-Mechanical Technician.

Graham was predeceased by his father James, and his brother Stephen Smith. He is survived by his mother Margaret and his wife of 36 years, Danette, as well as his children Amy, Dan and his wife, Angelica, Kim, and Jim, as well as his granddaughters Abigail, Alice, and Emily. He is also survived by his sister Heather Betts, brothers Gordan and Andrew Smith, brothers and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews as well as his loyal dog Buster.

Graham loved doing outdoor activities with his family. He took them fishing and hiking, and took them camping every summer, and skiing and sledding in the wintertime. His favorite place to go was the Audubon bird sanctuary in Ipswich, MA. He rode motorcycles and 4-wheelers and would ride for hours in the woods. He was an avid reader, especially sci-fi, collected coins, and made the best pizza anyone has ever tasted. Graham loved the Lord Jesus and that’s who he’s hiking with today.

SERVICES: A graveside Memorial Service will be held by the family, in the spring at the New Plains Cemetery, 8 Ministerial Rd, Windham, NH 03087.
