Obituary for Jane M Isabelle (Berube)

After a brief battle with cancer, Jane Marie Isabelle passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb 5, 2020 at the age of 81 surrounded by her three loving sons and family.
Jane was born to Joseph and Christine Berube in Lynn, Massachusetts on October 14, 1938. She grew up in Lynn with her siblings Joseph Berube, Peggy Cannon, and Mary Lou Rothschild. The family attended regular Sunday mass together at St. Joseph’s Church, also in Lynn, MA.
After graduating from Lynn English High School in 1957, Jane stayed close to her faith and her church community. Through these experiences Jane realized her life’s vocation and pursued a nursing career. Having concluded her studies, Jane moved to the Boston/Somerville area to practice her trade, where she met her would-be husband Armand Isabelle. Throughout Jane’s long career in nursing, she would go on to work at several area medical facilities, including the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Memorial Hospital, now Southern NH Medical Center. Jane spent much of her working years in nursing homes and elderly care facilities in NH, bringing a loving touch to those under her care. Serving those in need was clearly Jane’s great calling and joy.
In 1970, Jane and Armand married and moved to Bell Street in Nashua, New Hampshire and had three boys: twins, Joseph and Paul Isabelle - 1972 and Jason Isabelle - 1976. Joe, Paul and Jason were the joy of Jane’s life and her proudest achievement. During summer breaks, Jane took her boys camping in Northern New Hampshire to explore the outdoors and enjoy time together. In the winter, Jane always made it important to visit her sister Mary Lou and her husband Tom in NYC to connect with family and expose her boys to the larger world.
Jane is survived by her three siblings, her three sons, two daughters-in-law, Melissa Isabelle and Sarah Tsatsa and her 9 grandchildren, Timothy, Cote, Ember, Kerrigan, Olivia, Connor, Julia, , Alex and Andy.
She will be remembered for her strong faith, caring heart and like her father, for being a loyal and passionate Boston Red Sox fan!
