Janet Lee Marie Mayo
Janet was awake, and very attentive to all of the video calls that came in from many of her family and friends, over several hours, in the afternoon of February 27, 2021. Janet was born in Nashua, NH on September 8, 1972. Janet entered the Kingdom of Heaven on February 28,2021.
Janet is predeceased by her parents, Leo E. Mayo and Joan L. Mayo (Bonenfant), brother Leo Mayo, Jr, niece Kelly Larocque, all whom she dearly loved.
Janet is survived by her siblings Stan and Kathy Larocque of Middletown, CT, Mark Mayo and Charles Whittington of Raleigh, NC, Lori Robicheau of Hudson, NH, Gary and Cindy Bathalon of Manchester, NH. Also survived by nieces and nephews; Toni, Tara, James, Cody, Tyler, Dylan, Jillian, Emily, Amanda, Melissa, and Hannah, and several great nieces/nephews in NH, CT and Canada.
Janet has encountered and battled uncountable health issues since birth, and has been under the care of Dartmouth-Hitchcock throughout her life. Janet has left behind many friends throughout the DH system, especially at the Merrimack and Nashua locations.
Janet was a life-long resident of the Nashua area. Janet has been cared for by Nashua Center, along with countless care-givers, since she was 2 years old. Most recently, Janet lived with a special home care provider, Jordan and her family, in Amherst, NH. Other special home-care providers are, but not limited to, Becca, Keriann, Sanjay, Kerry, Sam, and Carol.
Throughout her years with Nashua Center, Janet enjoyed many volunteer opportunities at the Merrimack Public Library, Meals on Wheels, selling candy and snacks to her friends at Nashua Center, and gardening at the Hudson co-op. Janet also enjoyed times of worship, and fellowship at Community Chapel in Nashua. Janet loved musical events, swimming, art museums, animals, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
Janet’s smile and her personality were bigger than life. She had a contagious belly laugh, and a smile that just melted our hearts. Janet will be remembered as a strong, loving, amazing woman. She was a fighter who overcame many obstacles from her first day of life. Janet was a stealthy as a bird when she was able to run.Janet’s journey was paved with love, courage strength, and perseverance. Janet unconditionally shared her life, and was a blessing to so many people. Janet was a gift to all of us.
SERVICES: Visitation will be held on March 4, 2021 from 8-9 PM at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St, Nashua, NH. A graveside service will be held at St. Francis Cemetery, 32 Pine Hill Ave, Nashua, NH on March 5, 2021 at 1 PM. Friends and family are invited to attend. Due to COVID-19 we ask that all guests please wear a mask and follow social distancing.
