Obituary for Janice Edith Armstrong (Jensen)

Janice Edith Armstrong, 88, suddenly passed away on February 4, 2021 in Nashua NH.

She was born to Axel and Janet (Snow) Jensen in Nashua NH. Janice graduated from Nashua High School. She married Gerald Armstrong on October 3, 1953 and had been together for 68 years. Jan and Gerry loved to vacation in York Beach Maine, spending many happy summers there at the shore. Jan worked as a tax accountant and later retired from the Church of the Good Shepherd Nashua NH as their book keeper. Jan was active in the church as a long-time member and a Daughter of the Church. She was a member of the Alter Guild and could always be found volunteering at many of the special events. She was also a part of “Growly”, the family women’s sewing group, where anything could happen.

She is survived by her husband Gerald Armstrong, her daughter Gail Kulak and husband Mike, daughter-in-law Katrin (Kathy) Armstrong and predeceased by her son Mark. She is also blessed with a grandson Aaron Lyon and his wife Stephanie, and great grandchildren Zachary Michaud, Jordan and Quinn Lyon. She is predeceased by her sister Barbara Cribb and survived by her brother-in-law George, survived by her sister Eleanor Jean and predeceased by her brother-in-law Herbert. Several nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved cat Georgie.

She was the best wife, mom and friend that anyone could have asked for. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Our family thanks Visiting Angels of Nashua and is especially grateful for allowing her to live her final years in the comfort of her home.
