Obituary for Jay Ellsworth Marshall

Jay Ellsworth Marshall, 58, of Windham, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 18, 2019. The son of the late Douglas S, Jr. and Mildred C. (Chandler) Marshall, Jay was born on January 6, 1961 in Groton, MA.

Jay spent his formative years in Nashua and he was a 1979 graduate of Nashua High School. He left Nashua in 2003, moving to Cobbetts Pond in Windham. He was a great neighbor to many elderly people in the community, dropping in daily to check on them while bringing joy and laughter. Before his health issues, he would be the first to lend a helping hand to those in need. Jay’s pride and joy in his life were his two grandchildren, Darius and Geneva.

Jay was a 4th generation master carpenter. He was also very mechanically inclined and enjoying repairing everything from automobiles to appliances in his pastime.

Jay is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and his wife Michelle and two grandchildren, Darius and Geneva, of Nashua, NH. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Karen and Leo Graham of Hudson, NH, sister and brother-in-law Donna and Chuck Gilbert of Hudson, NH, sister and brother-in-law Sandra and John Rollston of Sandown, NH, brother and sister-in-law Douglas Marshall III and Carolyn Marshall of New Harbor, ME, sister Susan Bechard of Merrimack, NH, brother John Marshall of Nashua, NH, dearest friend and ex-sister-in-law Tracy Moraros of Nashua, NH and a host of many nieces, nephews and long-time friends.
