Obituary for Joan Pellegrina McCabe (Biondi)
Joan Pellegrina McCabe, 83, of Nashua, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 12, 2019 at Langdon Place of Nashua. She was born on March 15, 1936 in Milford, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (Nizzi) Biondi.
She was the wife of the late William Edward McCabe who died on July 22, 2001. They were married on May 18, 1963 in Marlboro, MA.
Joan attended Marlboro High School and later went on to attend Pierce Secretarial School. She graduated with an associate’s degree and went on to work as a legal assistant for Nashua Corporation where she later retired. In her free time, Joan enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts, reading, puzzles, bingo and most of all spending time with her family.
Along with her parents and husband, Joan was predeceased by her sister Mary Astletine.
Survivors include two sons, Michael McCabe of Micco, FL and Edward McCabe and his wife Sandi of Amherst, NH; two daughters, Teresa Healey and husband Michael of Nashua, NH and Jennifer McCabe of Watertown, MA; six grandchildren, Jake, Kenzie, Max and Tierney McCabe and Emma and Jack Healey.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the caring staff at Langdon Place of Nashua and the nurses, staff and volunteers from Home, Health and Hospice Care for all of their wonderful care and support given to Joan and her family.
SERVICES: A brief visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street in Nashua on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation, Friday, November 15, 2019, 12:30 PM, at the Immaculate Conception Parish, 216 E Dunstable Road in Nashua. Interment will be at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
