She was born August 25, 1933 in Albany, NY where she resided most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Corrine (LaPointe) Richea and Norman Richea, and beloved mother to Seth Zenitz of Southampton, MA and Paula (Steve) Zenitz Baron of Nashua, NH. Joan obtained her RN and BSN in Nursing, and pursued a lifelong career in an occupation she loved. She was a compassionate hospital, school, and workplace nurse, as well as using her nursing background in positions with the NYS Dept. of Social Services.
