Obituary for Joyce Ann Bucknam (Guest)

Joyce Bucknam, age 75, daughter of Frank L. Guest and Helen O. Guest, passed away on February 21, 2024. Born and raised in Nashua, NH, Joyce was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Parish throughout her entire life. On May 29, 1967, she married Allan Bucknam, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Joyce was known for her warmth, generosity, and fiesty spirit. She was predeceased by her brothers Frankie Guest, Terry Guest, and Phillip Guest, but she is survived by her beloved husband Allan, daughter Kelly Hardy, son Christopher Bucknam, granddaughter Anya Carver, sisters Cheryl Trudeau, Jacqueline Heuser, Brenda Brooks, Mary Bigwood, and brother Ernest Guest, and and extended family full of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joyce had a passion for literature and puzzles, and she could often be found curled up with a good book or engrossed in a mystery. She had a talent for bringing the family together, creating a bond that will endure through the generations. Her entertaining spirit and culinary skills, particularly showcased during her legendary Christmas Eve celebrations, will be fondly remembered by all.

A Mass in honor of Joyce will be held at Saint Patrick’s Parish in Nashua, NH, on Tuesday, February 27th, at 9 AM. Following the service, a burial will take place at Edgewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Joyce's favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, a cause that held a special place in her heart.

Joyce Bucknam's favorite pastime was spending quality moments with her family, reveling in the joy of laughter and creating cherished memories with her beloved siblings. Her legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness will forever be a guiding light for those fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the warmth of the memories she created and the love she shared.
