Obituary for Kathleen Mary Quinn-Weinstein (Quinn)

Kathleen Mary Quinn-Weinstein, 71, died on Wednesday, June 2nd at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, the daughter of Harold Quinn, Sr. and Ora Quinn (née Leveillee).
She was the wife of Michael P. Weinstein, whom she married on March 23rd, 1985 in Macon, Georgia. Together, Kathleen and Michael had five children: Eric, Aaron, Joshua, Sarah, and Ian.
After graduating from Burncoat High School in Worcester, Kathleen followed her dream of becoming a nurse. She graduated from the Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1975 and was licensed as an R.N. While continuing to practice as a nurse, Kathleen went back to school to receive both her B.S. (1979) and Ed.M. (1981) from Worcester State College. She served as the charge nurse at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on the kidney transplant unit.
Kathleen was a remarkable artist and particularly enjoyed creating charcoal and pastel pieces. For more than three and a half decades, Kathleen and Michael built a loving family that was the center of Kathleen’s life. A loving mother of five and grandmother of one, Kathleen took joy in looking after those she cared for the most. She was the matriarch and heart of her family and will be deeply missed.
Kathleen is predeceased by her sons Ian (1999) and Joshua (2016), and her siblings Harold Jr., William, and Shirley. She is survived by her husband Michael, her children Eric, Aaron, and Sarah, her grandson Henry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Private services will be held at Davis Funeral Home in Nashua, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made in Kathleen’s name to the ASPCA.
