Obituary for Leeanna Roberta Ross-Silva

On May 30, 2022, at 7:45 p.m. the angel of silence came into the Southern NH Regional Hospital and with chilly fingers, sealed the lips of our Beloved Leeanna Roberta (Butler) Ross-Silva. Her soul winged its flights from this world to a place of eternal rest.

Leeanna was the only child born to the late Eleanor Halidy and Bruce Butler on June 7, 1938, in Boston, MA. She graduated from Girls High School and Newbury Junior College in Boston, MA. As an adult she accepted Christ as her personal savior and served the Lord throughout her lifetime. When Leeanna moved to Nashua, she became a member of the New Fellowship Baptist Church of Nashua, NH, where she served as an usher for many years.

Leeanna married her best friend and love, Joseph Silva Jr. on October 8, 1994. They have lived a life of immeasurable love together, blending their lives and families in a beautiful tapestry of love for over thirty-seven years.

Leeanna grew up and raised her family in Boston, MA, until she moved to Nashua, NH in 1993 with her beloved Joseph. She loved to travel and explore new places, to create amazing crafts and treasures, she had an amazing gift for design and interior decorating, she never met a dance floor she didn’t want to groove on, and her outgoing and openhearted spirit meant friends instantly became family in her heart.

Leeanna is preceded in death by her father, Bruce Butler, her mother, Eleanor Halidy, her stepfather, William Hawkins, her sister, Florence “Leafy” Miller, and a host of other relatives. She celebrates reuniting in heaven with those that have gone before her. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Joseph Silva Jr.; her children; Rodney Butler (Elizabeth), Cleveland “Cabby” Butler, Veronica Ross, Jenice “Kay-K” Ross, Steven “Stevie” Ross, Joanne Ross, Susan Ross, Kevin Ross (Charlene), Stanley Greene, and Consuela Greene; twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. Leeanna was loved by so many family and friends. Though we could not name everyone individually that has been touched by Leeanna’s compassionate heart, be encouraged by your memories of her joyful laughter and listening ear that will be missed by so many people.
