Obituary for Lucile Anne Norton (Helman)

The long goodbye is over. Lucile Anne (Helman) Norton passed away peacefully on December 22, 2022, after having lived a wonderful and blessed life.

Lucile was a farm girl from Michigan who married her lifetime love, Daniel Joseph Norton on October 28, 1955. During Dan's time in the Navy, he and Lucile lived in Guam, Washington state and Tennessee. Dan and Lucile lived in married housing on Michigan State University campus while Dan earned his bachelor's degree in Engineering. There they grew their family of five with daughters, Deborah, Diane, and Denise. They lived in Missouri and settled in Hudson, New Hampshire. They created a home filled with love, laughter, and light.

Lucile taught her daughters to cook, sew and nurtured a love of music that both she and Dan shared. Lucile instilled in her children a compassion for others and a spirit of helpfulness. Lucile was a beautiful and kind soul, never one to seek the spotlight, her quiet strength was a source of great comfort to her family and to all that were blessed to know her. In addition to caring for her family, she served as a church secretary at Trinity Baptist Church in Nashua, NH for several years. Lucile later was the secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in Hudson, NH. Dan and Lucile were devoted Christians who served and worshipped at Gate City Church in Nashua, NH.

Lucile was predeceased by her parents Rexford and Beulah Helman, husband Daniel and her brother Richard Helman.
Her memory will live on in her family which include: daughter Deborah Norton of North Carolina, daughter Diane and her husband Kurt Norris of Merrimack, NH, daughter Denise and husband Steven Febonio of Goffstown, NH. Lucile also leaves behind her brother Raymond Helman, five grandchildren: Tom, Gail, Melinda, Dani-Lu and Jonathon as well as eight great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Bel-Air Nursing Home in Goffstown for their warmth and care in Lucile's final years. Services will be held at a later date.
