Obituary for Lyman Lloyd Decker Sr.
Lyman Lloyd Decker, Sr., 82, died on May 27, 2021 at his home in Nashua. He was born on December 22, 1938 in Staten Island, NY.
Lyman was a first class truck mechanic for over 50 years. He retired from Ryder Transportation Service, after which he continued to work part time for DDA Trucking.
Following retirement , he enjoyed his time with his wife, children, and many grandchildren to whom he was known as grampa and papa. He was well loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Decker.
Lyman is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nettie; his remaining children, Lyman Jr., David and his wife Robin, Michael, Dorothy, Tracy and his wife Anna, and his late son Kevin's wife Susan; 10 grandchildren, Steven Vlade, Christopher Decker, Jennifer Morales, Ein Nickerson, Joshua Nickerson, Samantha Nickerson, Thomas Decker, Gabriel Decker, Melissa Messina, Meagan Deslaurier; as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street in Nashua on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 4-6pm. A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at 6pm. Family and friends are invited to attend. Due to COVID guidelines all guests entering the funeral home will be required to wear a mask.
