Obituary for Marcia Ann Bryer (Lewis)

Marcia A. (Lewis) Bryer, age 84, died Monday, January 18, 2021 at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. She was born August 22, 1936, in Haverhill MA., the daughter of Myron and Mary (Gazuikewicz) Lewis. She was the wife of Edward G. Bryer. They were married on October 18, 1953.

She had worked at her family’s business, Bryer’s Streamliner Diner, on Gorham St., in Lowell, MA., in the early 1950’s, but was most lovingly known as, ‘Mom.’

Marcia was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Christopher’s Parish in Nashua. She was active in the Nashua Garden Club as a board member, flowers and crafting were her passions. She also enjoyed travelling and riding motorcycles with her husband Ed. Most of all she loved her family. She instilled strong values and the importance of family to each of her four children. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. She was our hero and the strength of our family.

Besides Marcia’s loving husband, she was predeceased by her son Matthew G. Bryer, and her daughter Andrea J. Bryer.

She is survived by her son David L. and Kara Bryer of Manchester, her daughter Pamela A. Bryer of Indiana, nine grandchildren, Gilliane and Ryan Hockemeyer, Luke Pettus, Max, Caitlin and Lilly Bryer, Matthew, Brittani and Megan Foley, and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Owen, Matthew, and Gatsby Hockemeyer and Christian Bryer.

SERVICES: A WALK-THROUGH visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 10 am to 12 pm at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua NH. COVID restrictions require one-way passage through the funeral home, hand sanitation at the door, wearing masks, remaining 6 feet apart, and no physical contact with the family. Healthy family and friends are invited to attend. A procession will take place directly after visitation to the Oakdale Cemetery, 83 Maple St., in Middleton, MA.
