Obituary for Mark John Sophos

Mark J. Sophos, 55, of Nashua, died at home, Friday, September 4, 2020. He was born in Nashua on October 14 1964, son of George E. Sophos, Jr. and the late Dolores M. (Gendreau) Sophos. He was a lifelong resident of Nashua.
He attended and graduated from Nashua Senior High School and attended technical school to pursue an education in electronics. He worked as an electronics components tester.
Those who knew Mark knew what a very gentle and generous nature he had. Throughout his life, Mark always maintained a good sense of humor. As a youth, he was inseparable from his younger brother, Eric. One of their favorite pastimes was fishing together. As an adult, he became very close to his dedicated older brother, Steven, who was a light and an anchor for him during his longtime illness. Mark was very vocal about his Christian beliefs and one of his passions was listening to Christian music.
In addition to his father, survivors include three brothers and one sister-in-law, David G. and Marquetta (Bell) Sophos of Merrimack, Steven G. Sophos of Hudson and Eric P. Sophos of Nashua; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen M. and John MacCarty of Billerica, MA, Lynn A. and Paul Mulhern of Dracut, MA and Gail L. and Paul Richard of Shelton, CT, three aunts-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
SERVICES:Services will be held privately. Interment will be held in Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua.
