Obituary for Michael Scott Bernier
Michael “Mikey” Scott Bernier, 37 of Bedford, NH and formerly of Nashua, NH died at his home on Thursday September 12, 2019.
Michael was born April 4, 1982 in Nashua, NH. He was predeceased in death by his paternal grandfather, Edgar R. Bernier as well as his uncle and godfather, Othello “Bud” Beem.
After graduating from Nashua HS, Michael went on to study at Universal Technical Institute, receiving an associate of automotive occupation degree in automotive technology.
Michael enjoyed working on motors and anything mechanical from a very young age, a skill he learned by helping his dad on a constant basis in their garage. Besides working on automobiles, he enjoyed snowmobiling, eating and growing tomatoes, as well as eating Tripoli Pizza at the beach. He also enjoyed visiting Chuck E Cheese and Bensons in Hudson with his son Blake, but his favorite pastime was just spending time with his son.
Besides his loving son, Blake Bernier, survivors include his mother, Cheryl Bernier, of Goffstown, father, Andrew Maurice Bernier and his companion Lynn, of Hudson; sister, Nicole Bernier, of Goffstown, maternal grandmother, Katherine Boulé, of Nashua; maternal grandfather, Norman Boulé and his wife Annie; paternal grandmother, Constance Noel Bernier, of Gilford, NH and Ormond Beach, FL; eight aunts, Susan Beem who is also his godmother, Julie Bernier, Joan Andreson, Joanne McEachern, Mary Fortier, Sharon Miller, Carol Provost and Suzanne Coady, and one nephew, Brayden Andrew O’Keefe.
SERVICES: There are no visiting hours. A funeral service will be held at St Joseph’s Workers Parish 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH 03062 Thursday September 26, 2019 at 10:00am. Immediately following the funeral service, “A Celebration of Life” will be held in the church hall. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Michael’s loving memory to the Blake M. Bernier College Fund, c/o Bank of America (NH UTMA Account).
