Obituary for Regina Emilia Freitas (Machado)

Regina_Emilia (Machado) Freitas, 91, died Friday, February 5, 2021 at 5:40 am her daughter's home in Nashua. She was born on May 8, 1929 in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, daughter of the late Claudino Machado and Catarina Emilia da Cunha Machado.

She was the loving wife of Raul Sousa Freitas. They were married on June 17, 1950 in Azores, Portugal.

Regina obtained her high school diploma. Following high School, she worked in manufacturing and was retired for many years.

In her free time, she enjoyed watching game shows and WWE wrestling, sewing, gardening, cooking, and talking with friends and family.

Regina was a proud Roman Catholic and affiliated with the: Divino Espirito Santo (The Holy Ghost Society).

She was predeceased by her daughters: Isabela Maria Machado Freitas and Conceicao Maria Machado Freitas, her granddaughter Lucy Fatima Rodrigues (Cernuda), her husband Raul Sousa Freitas, her sisters Florinda and Maria E. Santos, her brothers: Jose Machado, Henrique Machado, and Arnaldo Machado; and many other relatives and friends

Survivors include daughter Maria Freitas von Doellinger her spouse Elias Ferreira, and their son Daniel of Nashua; her son Jose (Joey) Freitas his daughter Cassandra Freitas and her great grandsons Cayden and Jensen Machado Freitas of Hudson, and her daughter Lucia (Lucy) Moreira and her daughter Cathy Moreira of Manchester, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends

SERVICES: A period of visitation will be held from 9-10 am February 10, 2021 at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH 03064. Following the visitation, a funeral mass will be held at St. Aloysius of Gonzaga Parish, 48 W Hollis St., Nashua, NH 03060 at 10:30 am. Once the funeral mass concludes, burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery, 32 Pinehill Ave., Nashua, NH 03064. Family and friends are invited to attend. Due to Covid, those entering the funeral home and church will be required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
The DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua has been placed in charge of arrangements. An online guest book is available at www.davisfuneralhomenh.com, (603-883-3401) “ONE MEMORY LIGHTS ANOTHER”.
