Richard S. Wolfe, 68, died on April 12, 2021 at his home in Londonderry. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Ira and Sylvia (Sipporin) Wolfe.

He was the beloved husband of Judy (Kliegman) Wolfe. They were married on October 29, 1978 in Brooklyn, NY.

Richard was raised and educated in Brooklyn, NY and earned his degree in physics from Brooklyn Poly Tech in 1975.
In 1985 he made his way north to New Hampshire. He worked as an optical engineer for multiple companies and made lifelong friends at each one. He was always proud of his work and just recently able to retire.

In his free time Richard loved fishing, gardening, great food, the Celtics, and history.

In his daughters own words, “ ‘Only the good die young, so I’m going to live forever’ was a phrase my dad would always say in response to his unapologetic love of food (when we would make a comment about how much/how unhealthy). He was a man of indulging in food, the history channel and a fierce love for his family. He embraced his tie dye shirts and paint-stained sweatpants. He wrote every text as a novel starting with Hi Cookie and ended with Love, Dad. He always ended every phone conversation with ‘you don’t know how much I love you’. He was also the person who encouraged me to go out and have fun in college as long as I ‘wasn’t stupid’. I loved watching him be a grandpa. In order to stop Hannah from crying, he played the piano for the first time in many years like he had never skipped a day. So dad, husband, grandpa, friend, engineer and fisherman, you left us too soon so you’re officially a good one.” He was always sneaking the dog food despite knowing he shouldn’t as well.

Along with his parents, Ira and Sylvia, he was predeceased by his sister, Karen Kurtz.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 43 years, Judy; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie Navok and husband Eric; and son, Ethan Wolfe: as well as the proudest grandfather to Hannah Navok.

Who could not remember Wolfie after having once met him? He was "bigger than life" with his personality. I sat near him at Kollsman and have so many memories of him that flowed through my mind rapidly upon hearing of his passing. Yes, he was one of the "good ones"! My condolences to the family. He spoke often about you and deeply loved you.
