Obituary

Robert “Bob” E. Quinney passed away peacefully with his family present on, Thursday, February 25th, 2021, after an extended illness. Bob was born on January 21st, 1958 in Topeka Kansas. The son of David and Darlene Quinney of Nashua NH. Bob met the love of his life, Linda E. Higgins of Rochester NY and together as a newly married couple they settled into their home at 31 McKean St in Nashua.

Bob worked various jobs throughout his youth but settled in and became the Manager of Facilities Operations at the Tichnor Properties located on Chestnut St in Nashua. Bob exhibited an amazing talent for troubleshooting and repairing any mechanical, electrical or maintenance issues and kept the building operating efficiently and without incident. Bob was well respected and admired by his colleagues for his strong work ethic, problem solving and dependability. Bob enjoyed 15-years of employment with the organization before his retirement.

Bob was fondly known for his sharp wit and sense of humor as well as his infectious laughter. While Bob was more reticent than most, those who knew him well and got close, cherished their conversations and interactions with him. His surviving family members fondly remember him for his love of politics, cooking holiday dinners and his love for the New England Patriots, until they let Brady walk. When not working, Bob enjoyed building and tinkering with most anything. He loved working on his house, building powered petal bikes, learning about computers, and writing Java script. Bob was inquisitive, endearing, hardworking and loved the simple pleasures in life. He loved the Fourth of July, being a grandfather and most especially being with his family. Bob never complained even as his health issues began to limit those pleasures.

Bob is predeceased by his loving wife, Linda. He is survived by his three children, Matt Quinney of Manchester NH ,Jackie Caceros of Manchester NH, and Marshall Quinney of Nashua NH. Bob has 8 grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews, all who will miss him dearly.

I knew Bob years ago in the projects. He was funny, witty, and always had a story to tell...unforgetable and crazy fun. The neighborhood loved him. RIP BoBo. (From 48 Major Drive)
