My wife and I were so sorry to hear about ron’s passing. Our condolences to his family. I taught a Sunday School class in a room right next to Ron about 10 years ago. I loved coming in early to talk with him. He was such a good teacher and the 4th-6th grade boys loved him as he was firm but caring. I used to love to listen to him try to get the boys involved, to really think about the lesson. He would keep asking them questions and sometimes his class sounded like a lively college course. He would use his own money to make sure the kids had something to eat or a toy or some other act of kindness. These were children who were sometimes living under tough circumstances. Ron was also a very nice gentle soul...someone who lifted everyone’s spirits despite all the health issues he was facing. I was truly blessed to know him.
