Obituary for Russell Duane Wiseman

Russell D. Wiseman, 84, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 at home, in Nashua, NH surrounded by his family.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1934 in Lemon, SD to Earl and Alice Wiseman. He married Agnes Freier on Dec. 29, 1955 in Plevna, Montana.

Russ attended Baker High School, graduating in 1953. He went to telegraphy school to work for the Railroad until he was drafted in 1954. He served in the Army as a radio signal specialist, where he was trained in Morse code at Southeastern Signal School and served until 1956. Upon leaving the military he worked as an accountant, an insurance representative, and for the greater part of his career as a Professional Sales Representative in the food and beverage industry for MJB Coffee, Hills Brothers Coffee and Nestle Company.

Russ was a member at Community Chapel Nashua and through most of his adult life enjoyed being involved at many levels in his Church community. Serving on Church boards, Camp boards, Men’s fellowships. Steady Church attendance helped him to live out his faith and love for Jesus Christ. He loved to read, be with people and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Alice Wiseman, brothers Delbert and James and sister, Alice Faye.

Russ is survived by his wife of 63 years, Agnes (Freier)Wiseman of Nashua, NH. His children Carrie and (Tim) Dougherty of Indianapolis, IN, Doug and (Christine) Wiseman of Plymouth, MA and Julie Ormesher of Nashua, a sister, Leona Irvine of Billings, MT and 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: A funeral celebration of his life will be held at Community Chapel Church of the Nazarene, Nashua, NH at 11:00am, Sat. Sept. 14, 2019.
