Obituary for Ruth Demers (Keraghan)

Ruth Helen (Keraghan) Demers, 84, of Nashua, died on Saturday, March 5th, 2022, at home after a period of declining health. She was born on August 23rd, 1937, in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late William and Mabel Keraghan.

She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Demers who passed away in 1996. They were married on Sept 14th, 1958, in Lawrence, MA.

Ruth grew up in Lawrence, attending Arlington Street School, Tarbox School, and Lawrence High School. She then worked at
Leo Kesslen and Son shoe shop as a floor supervisor and retired as a supervisor at Major Mail.

Some of Ruth’s’ hobbies include baking, sewing, shopping, and reading. She also enjoyed collecting Annalee Dolls and eating her favorite, Lobster Pie. Most of all, Ruth enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Aside from her husband and parents, Ruth is predeceased her son, Paul Demers, who passed in 2012, her granddaughter, Crystal Hanson who passed in 2012, and her brothers, Billy Keraghan and Robert Keraghan.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Carlene Hanson and her husband Wayne of Nashua, NH and Janice Rouleau and her husband Scot of Nashua, NH along with their son Devon. She also leaves behind her son, Joe Demers and his wife Monica of Salem, NH along with his daughter Megan and son Michaelanthony. Surviving grandchildren also include Deirdre Demers and her boyfriend Andrew Campbell of Merrimack, NH and Kelsie Lagasse and her husband Nick of Weare, NH. Ruth also leaves behind her siblings, Donald Keraghan, Carol Krylow, Grace Gonneville, John Keraghan and Karl Keraghan, as well as her brother-in-law Robert Demers and his wife Huguette of Chateau Richer, Quebec Canada. Ruth is also survived by her special niece, Donna Demers of Nashua, NH, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

SERVICES: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, from 4-7pm at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH 03064. A graveside service will be held on Thursday March 10th, 2022, at 10am at Edgewood, 107 Amherst St., Nashua, NH 03064. Family and friends are invited to attend.
