Obituary for Sherman R Conery

Sherman R. Conery, age 79, passed away on May 27, 2019 in Clearwater, FL. He was born in Nashua, NH on August 20, 1939, the son of the late Rowland and Julia (Turner) Conery.

Sherman was a member of the Nashua Rising Sun Masonic Lodge #39 and the Nashua Elks Lodge. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Nashua Fish and Game Association. He worked as a car salesman for various companies over the years and ended his career working for himself under “Conery Sales” selling cars at wholesale. He was always a hard worker and a provider.

Sherman also loved going on cruises, snowmobiling and spending time at his summer home on Peaks Island in Casco Bay Portland, ME. He was an avid New England Sports fan, especially his beloved Red Sox, and singer of the song, “Sweet Caroline”.

Sherman is survived by his wife of 56 years Jean T. Conery, whom he married on June 2, 1963 at St. Peters Church in Lowell, MA; children, Robert Conery and his wife Carolyn of Acton, MA and Maura and her husband Christopher Sandell of Merrimack, NH and six grandchildren, Ryan, Cara and her husband Spencer, Sean, Julia, Joseph and Benjamin. Sherman also leaves behind his sister Susan and her husband Paul LeBell of Florida, a sister in law Joan Marie Joaquin of Methuen, MA and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: All are welcome to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday June 27, 2019 at 11:00AM at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua. The family will start receiving guests at 10:30AM. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
