Obituary for Theodore Joseph Nimiroski

Theodore Joseph Nimiroski, 86, formerly of Charlestown RI, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, surrounded by family, at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Bedford, MA. He was born March 19, 1937, in Attleboro, MA to parents Victor Nimiroski and Charlotte (Strzepek) Richmond. He was married to the late Charlotte (Bartula) Nimiroski, who passed in 2008.

Theodore served his Country honorably from 1954-1958 in the Air Force. He was stationed in Stateside in Alaska and served overseas in Japan and valued the time he served. He went on to become metallurgist and was contracted by several government companies throughout his career in which he used his training to inspect parts during the Apollo space program and the first Space Shuttle. He helped with National defense working for General Dynamics, Electric Boat, which specializes in manufacturing the submarines for the United States Navy.

Ted was an avid outdoorsman. Over the years he enjoyed hunting with his stepfather Ernie throughout Pennsylvania and New England. He began to enjoy going to upstate New York while making lifelong friends hunting for deer and turkey and eventually resigning to becoming the greatest camp cook. His passion, however, was found on the water. Over the years his love was catching Striped Bass. His greatest accomplishment was becoming a member of the 60-pound club which he later was interviewed and wrote about. After retiring he fulfilled a lifelong dream of obtaining his captain’s license and started a charter boat business out of Snug Harbor, RI, called The Terminator. He worked with friends and his son Brian. He was well respected in the fleet.

He is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Charlotte.

Theodore is survived by his daughter Deborah Lennox and her husband Ken of Nashua, NH, his son Brian Nimiroski and his wife Erica of Richmond, RI, and grandchildren, Daniel Nimiroski and Alex Nimiroski of Richmond, RI, Joseph Lennox, and Andrew Lennox of Nashua, NH.
