Obituary for Virginia "Jini" Thibault (Tegan)
Virginia (Jini) Thibault Merrimack NH- Virginia (Tegan) Thibault of Merrimack, passed away at the age of 64
after a courageous battle with cancer. Jini grew up in Falmouth MA, and loved the “Cape”. She graduated from
Falmouth High School in 1976 and Bentley College in 1991.
Jini was the care-taker to her mother Lilly and mother-in-law Erna, both of whom she loved very much. Like
many of us, Jini cared for her mother-in-law during COVID where they both enjoyed listening to music and
having a nightly glass of wine. She also loved her many golden retriever “kids”, all of whom brought her hours
of joy and companionship. Some of Jini’s favorite times were traveling to warm and sunny places, enjoying
many cruises, reading novels on the back porch, or going for weekend drives in NH with her husband Ernie.
When it came to taking care of her guests, Jini excelled at going the extra mile, making sure that everyone was
having a great time and the food was as amazing as she could make it.
For the last 18 years, Jini was on the financial services team at School Specialties in Nashua, where she was
working until March of this year. As a dedicated employee, she previously worked at GSI Lumonics/General
Scanning, as well as Wang Laboratories.
In addition to her parents, Lillian M. (Croft) Tegan of Nashua, NH and John H. Tegan of Falmouth, Jini was
predeceased by her sisters, Claire Cipullo, Anne Herron, Margaret LeBron, and Michele VanLeeuwen, and her
brothers, Henry, Robert, William, and John Tegan, and her aunts, Virginia Brooks of White Plains, NY, Barbara
Furey of Lynnfield, MA, Marguerite Norton, and the late Sister Henrita, Sisters of St. Joseph whom she
considered family.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Ernie Thibault of Merrimack, NH; her stepdaughter, Cyndi Pawlowicz
and son-in-law Matt Pawlowicz; her loving sister, Cathy Fleming; her mother-in-law, Erna Thibault of
Blackstone, MA, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Thomas and Lisa Thibault of Blackstone MA and Diane
and William Robin of Blackstone MA; she is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and their
children.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held on June 10th at Merrimack Horseshoe Fish and Game, 44
Greens Pond Road, Merrimack, NH 03054, starting at 12 pm, with food being served at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers
