Obituary for Winnifred L. "Winnie" Mitchell
Mrs. Winnifred “Winnie” (Kimball) Mitchell, age 86, a lifelong resident of Hudson, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 5, 2023.She was the widow of Ludovic “Larry” Mitchell with whom she shared 67 years of marriage prior to his passing on November 13, 2022.
She was born in Hudson, NH on January 19, 1937, daughter of the late Barbara Kimball and Philip Kimball Sr.
In her younger years, Winnie loved camping with her family, snowmobiling with a group of friends, strolling the beach, and enjoyed hobbies of knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cooking for her family.
Winnie is survived by her loving cat, Mickey, two daughters, Laurie Dupont and her husband, Alan of Hudson, Lisa Mitchell and her significant other, Kevin of Pelham; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy Mitchell, Ricky & Janet Mitchell and Ronny & Kim Mitchell, all of Hudson; a sister, Lynda True of Hudson; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Winnie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care, comfort and compassion during Winnie’s time of need.
SERVICES: According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Relatives & friends are invited to her Graveside Service on Friday Feb. 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Cemetery, 102 Derry Rd., Hudson, NH. A luncheon will take place in the family home following the service.
