Obituary for Zenaida S. V. Ligon (Viola)

Zenaida Suva Viola Ligon, 70, passed away Tuesday October 27, 2020 surrounded by her family in Nashua, NH. She was born on December 16, 1949 in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija- Philippines, the daughter of Jose and Olimpia Beltran Suva Viola. She was the wife of Jaime Fernandez.

Zenaida was called by her family and friends as Zeny or Zena. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. She worked at Catholic Medical Center for more than a decade and spent the last 14 years at Concord Hospital before her retirement.

Zenaida liked to spend her time with family, going out to eat and shop. She was known for her generosity and thoughtfulness. She loved celebrating the holidays. She enjoyed decorating her home and workplace. She loved making people happy. She was very caring and would always put people first. Zena had a big heart.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse, Jaime Fernandez; her daughter Katherine (Dion); her siblings, Susan (Fred), Olivia (Raniel) and Alexander (Tess). She is adored and loved by her in-laws and many relatives, nieces and nephews, and her furbaby Aeywa.

SERVICES: A walk-through visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 3pm -7 pm, at Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street in Nashua. Due to COVID restrictions all guests entering the funeral home will be required to wear face masks and follow social distancing. A funeral service will be held, 10 am, Monday, November 2, 2020 at the St. Christopher Catholic Church, 62 Manchester St. Nashua, NH with Father David officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hudson, NH.

Family and friends are invited to attend. Those who wish, can make a memorial contribution to St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Center and Home Health and Hospice.
