Obituary for Joan Soifert

Joan Esther Soifert, of Hollis, passed away at Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, May 27, 2016, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Mrs. Soifert was born in Toronto, Canada, on February 9 1934, a daughter of the late James and Dorothy (McCutcheon) Morrison.
She was the widow of Julius Soifert. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Staff Sgt. Allen Soifert.
She was a longtime member of Temple Beth Abraham in Nashua and Hadassah. She was also active in the Pepperell Senior Center for many years. She also loved art and participated in a few art shows.
Mrs. Soifert is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Leon Rosenblum, Betty and Carl Fimbel, and Charna and Russell Pratt and her son and daughter-in-law, David and Annie Soifert; her beloved grandchildren and their spouses, Shiri and Matt Spear, Andrew and Jill Fimbel, Krystal and Ansel Hurtado, Talia Rosenblum, Michael Soifert, Joshua Soifert, Jonathan Fimbel, Jessica Fimbel, Allen Pratt, and Brandy Pratt; great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Mia, and Ava.
SERVICES: A Funeral Service in her honor will be held at Temple Beth Abraham, 4 Raymond St., Nashua on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Interment prayers and burial will follow in Beth Abraham Cemetery, Nashua. Friends and family are invited to attend. Memorial observance (Shiva) will be observed for seven days following the funeral services on Sunday at her daughter, Sandra Rosenblum’s home, 32 Proctor Hill Rd, Hollis NH. As flowers are not part of the family’s customs, they ask that donations in Joan’s name be given to the NH Breast Cancer Coalition, 18 Belle Lane, Lee, NH 03861-6438 (Phone: 603.659.3482) in lieu of flowers.
