Obituary

Obituary for Diane Rose Jacob (Huard)

Diane Rose Jacob, 63, died at her home in Milford on Monday, April 19, 2021. She was born on December 11, 1957 in Grand-Mere, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Raymond and Jeannine (Rivard) Huard.

She was the beloved wife of Herve "Jake" F. Jacob, Jr. Diane and Jake were married on February 26, 1976 and recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her husband, Jake, and loving daughter Kristin Rose Jacob, of Merritt Island, Florida, along with her partner Nick Ford, and their beautiful son Dylan Jacob Ford.

Diane attended school in Canada and also in Nashua, NH. She worked for most of her career at Teradyne Connection Systems/Amphenol in varying roles in manufacturing and materials management. She also enjoyed working side-by-side with her daughter, Kristin, at TJ Maxx for a short time.

Diane was a devoted daughter who spent countless hours caring for her parents before their passing. She was always there to lend an ear or a hand to anyone in need.

She enjoyed watching the Ellen Degeneres Show. Her guilty pleasure was watching the Housewives of Beverly Hills and other favorites on the Bravo Channel. She was a natural at sewing and created beautiful garments and countless projects both for herself and as gifts for others. She recently enjoyed filling her new “she-shed” with gardening and other crafty treasures.

Diane was an avid bird watcher and kept her bird guides and binoculars close by to catch a glimpse of the wildlife in her backyard. While she was able, she enjoyed planting her vegetable garden, which was lined with orange daylilies. She also enjoyed planting purple and white petunias, red begonias, and purple and yellow pansies around the yard in sprint time. And carried her colorful seasonal decorating throughout her house, which she always made a home with her special touches.

Face-timing with her daughter and new grandson filled her last few months. Although she wasn’t able to meet him in person, she enjoyed being able to be part of her new grandson’s milestones day after day.

Along with her husband and daughter, she is survived by her brother, Daniel Huard of Hollis, New Hampshire, and her sisters, France Banakos and her partner John Messner of Merritt Island, Florida, and Dominique Reilly and her husband Edward (Ted) of Nashua, New Hampshire, her brother-in-law, Albert Gilbert, her nephew Jeffrey Huard and his wife Rachel Huard, her nephews Jonathan and Nathan Banakos, and Edward John (EJ) Reilly, and great-niece Natalie Huard, as well as nephews Ronald and John Gilbert and several great nephews and cousins.
