Maria Grace McNaught, 72, of Merrimack, NH passed from this life peacefully Friday April 16, 2021 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
Born September 3, 1948 in Roxbury, Mass she was the daughter of the late Fiore and Madeline (Siano) Accomando and wife of Robert McNaught, of Merrimack with whom she married on June 10, 1984 at the St. Columbkille Church in Brighton, MA.
Maria attended classes at Harvard University and Northeastern University, and was an author with published works in the Smithsonian Library.
In her early years, Maria worked at Delta Dental and Blue Cross & Blue Shield processing dental and medical records.
She had a huge heart, and was always finding things she could do that would help others.

Maria was proud to be a longstanding member of New Fellowship Baptist Church in Nashua for about thirty years, where she enjoyed singing in the church’s choir. Maria also enjoyed politics, writing, social activism, storytelling and traveling. In her 20s, Maria ventured to London, Wales, Ireland, Morocco, Spain, Italy, Rome and Montreal.

Timothy Southward

Bro. Bob, Josh, and Bethany - the Southward family in Madison, AL (Tim, Selena, Bree, and Hannah Faith) sends our deepest condolences to you and your family for the loss of Sis. Maria McNaught in this earthly world. At the same time, we celebrate her transition and arrival to that magnificent kingdom that we all know as Heaven. It is in that place where our Lord has already wiped away every tear. Sis. Maria shall not mourn, cry, or hurt any longer. When we think of Sis. Maria, we simply remember the “love of Jesus Christ” in the flesh. Like the Lord, Sis. Maria was always welcoming, always embracing, always encouraging, always loving, always advocating for others, regardless of race, creed, or religion. She fought a good fight; she finished her course in this earthly life; she kept her faith in our Lord who first demonstrated victory over death. Now, she will be crowned as Queen Maria in Heaven for her following in the paths of His righteousness. We love Sis. Maria and we love all of you. Our prayers of God’s peace, comfort, hope, and love will be with you this day and forward. The Southward Family
